AUSTIN—Today, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst issued the following statement after the passing of Texas State Representative Ken Legler:

"Texans mourn the sudden loss of Representative Ken Legler, a dedicated public servant and family man who faithfully served his constituents and his community in the Texas Legislature. On behalf of the Texas Senate, I want to extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Barbara, and his loving family, and let them know that our prayers are with them."
