AUSTIN—Today, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst's office announced that Communications Director Mike Walz will be leaving at the beginning of July. Mike will be joining InfraREIT Capital Partners, LLC, based in Dallas, Texas. He and his wife are expecting their first child in November.

"I want to thank Mike for his exemplary service to my office and the State of Texas," said Lt. Governor Dewhurst. "Mike's insight and expertise have been invaluable to my team, and he has played an instrumental role in our legislative achievements. I look forward to continuing to work with Mike in the future and wish him and his family the very best."

Deputy Communications Director Lauren Thurston will serve as the primary press contact for the Lt. Governor's Office during the Interim.
