AUSTIN – Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick made the following statement regarding the recent release of a second video recording of a Planned Parenthood senior official discussing the sale of aborted fetus body parts:

“A second video recording of Planned Parenthood’s shameful business practices has surfaced. It is unfathomable that there are people in this world that exploit abortions to this extent. We need to protect the sanctity of life and ensure that Planned Parenthood is not encouraging women to have abortions for the grotesque purpose of profiting from selling body parts.

“Since last week’s release of Planned Parenthood’s first video, I have called on Senator Charles Schwertner to conduct an expedited interim hearing of the Senate Committee on Human Services to ensure no state laws are being broken.”
