Lt. Governor Patrick Announces Appointments



 

AUSTIN – Today, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced appointments to the Cybersecurity Council, the Senate Select Committee on Cybersecurity and the Joint Interim Committee on Disclosure of Emergency Call Information.

Upon making the appointments Lt. Gov. Patrick said:

“I am confident these appointees will work hard to ensure that our state agencies’ cybersecurity needs are met and that the disclosure of emergency call information is handled appropriately.”

 

Cybersecurity Council

– Sen. Jane Nelson, R-Flower Mound

The Cybersecurity Council collaborates on matters of cybersecurity and best practices to assist state agencies with cybersecurity threats.

 

Senate Select Committee on Cybersecurity

– Sen. Konni Burton, R-Colleyville
– Sen. Donna Campbell, R-New Braunfels
– Sen. Bryan Hughes, R-Mineola
– Sen. Borris Miles, D-Houston

The Senate Select Committee on Cybersecurity studies cybersecurity in this state, information security plans of each state agency, and vulnerabilities of state agency cybersecurity.

  

Joint Interim Committee on Disclosure of Emergency Call Information

The Joint Interim Committee on Disclosure of Emergency Call Information studies the process, handling, and disclosure of emergency call recordings made by individuals who subsequently die from the emergency described in their call.
